“Heart Dogs Heal Canine Massage” is owned by Jennifer Whalen. Her passion for animals, dogs in particular, started at a very young age, and was always encouraged by her extremely supportive Mom. She went to North Shore Community college and graduated Cum Laude from the Animal Care program in 2005. She then worked for several years at one of the premier dog training facilities on the North Shore, where she learned a great deal about dogs-their language, their love and their dedicated owners. She learned about the small animal massage program offered through Bancroft at this time, but life’s path lead in another direction. After taking up a position at Bulger Veterinary Hospital and then going through a difficult health crisis herself, she started thinking about it again. She decided to finally join the program when she realized her true desire and love in life was to help and heal other dogs just as special as her own; these “Heart Dogs” who were the light of their owners lives.
She graduated from Bancroft in September of 2010, and can be found practicing at various facilities and sporting events throughout New England. She lives in the Merrimack Valley with her mom and their own special “Heart Dogs”, Shelties Heidi and Shelby.
